Universal Pictures have announced a second sequel to Jurassic World.
Four months before Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits cinemas, work on a third outing has begun. An official announcement of the film’s 11 June 2021 release was made on the movie’s Twitter page.

Colin Trevorrow will work on the movie’s script, as he is with Fallen Kingdom, alongside Emily Carmichael, who worked on the upcoming Pacific Rim Uprising. Trevorrow commented on Carmichael’s appointment, as well as seemingly confirming that the third entry in the franchise will be the last;
“It’s important to this franchise that we welcome new creative voices to keep our storytelling fresh and alive. I’m thrilled with the tension and beauty J.A. has brought to Fallen Kingdom, and I know Emily will add another layer of emotion to the concluding chapter of our trilogy.”
Jurassic World made more than $1.6 billion worldwide.
