Disney Boss: Fox Characters Heading to MCU

In the wake of Walt Disney’s $52 billion deal to purchase 21st Century Fox, many a Marvel fan has been wondering what this means for the Marvel Cinematic Universe now that Disney have the rights to characters such as the Fantastic Four, Deadpool and X-Men.

Now it looks like those same Marvel fans have their answer, and they’ll be happy.

During a conference call with investors, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger confirmed that Marvel Studios will be looking to include their new playthings in their ongoing Universe.

“We have the opportunity to expand iconic franchises for new generations of fans just as we have done with Marvel and Star Wars… We’re also looking forward to expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe to include X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool.”

Of course, there is not yet a timeframe for when we might see this characters finally take their place in the current stories, however with Avengers: Infinity War coming in four months, a lot of people may be eagerly anticipating that movie just a little bit more.
