The Last Jedi Passes $500 Million Worldwide

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has already passed the half a billion mark at the worldwide box office – less than a week after being released.

Rian Johnson’s space epic was released last Wednesday, with UK viewers getting it from midnight before North America got to see it the following Friday, and as of December 18 it has collected $516.4 million worldwide.

The film is not without its critics, however, with some angry fans even going as far as starting an online petition to have The Last Jedi removed from the Star Wars canon, such is their unhappiness with the film.

Our review of the movie called it “smart and grown-up, combining intense action and incredible storytelling.”
