Disney ‘Closing In’ On Deal For Fox Assets

Walt Disney and 21st Century Fox are close to agreeing a deal which would see Disney take over studio and television production assets.

CNBC are reporting that “sources familiar to the matter” have told them that the $60 billion deal could be announced as early as next week. Should – as now seems very likely – the deal complete, Disney would take Nat Geo, Star, stakes in Sky and Hulu, regional sports networks as well as those all important movie studio rights – reuniting them with Marvel Comics properties such as X-Men and Fantastic Four.

Somewhere, Kevin Feige is rubbing his hands.
