Rich Swann has been arrested.
PWInsider are reporting that the former Cruiserweight champion is being held on charges of kidnapping/false imprisonment and battery. In Florida, where Swann was arrested – kidnapping/false imprisonment carries a prison sentence of up to five years and a $5000 fine, while battery is a first degree misdemeanor with penalties of up to a year in prison or 12 months probation, as well as a $1000 fine.
Swann is currently advertised for tomorrow night’s Raw, where he is due to face Drew Gulak for a shot at the Cruiserweight championship. That match will very likely now be scrapped from the card.
WWE have not yet commented on the incident.
