John Cena’s WWE Return Announced

WWE have announced that John Cena will return at Survivor Series.

Cena, who has not been on WWE TV since he lost to Roman Reigns at No Mercy, will be the fifth and final man on Team Smackdown in the Men’s Traditional Survivor Series match. He’ll team with Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and captain Shane McMahon to take on Team Raw‘s collective of Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, Jason Jordan and captain Kurt Angle.

It was previously rumoured that Cena would be on the show in the role of special referee for the Champion vs Champion match between Brock Lesnar and Jinder Mahal, however it seems plans have changed with Jinder shockingly losing the WWE Championship to AJ Styles on Smackdown Live last night.

Survivor Series takes place next Sunday from Houston, Texas.
