New Trailer for The Last Jedi Released

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has debuted a mind-blowing new trailer.

And if you went against the advice of director Rian Johnson and watched it, well you were in for a treat.

The new footage gives us – among many other things – a little of Rey training under Luke Skywalker, as well as a good helping of a Kylo Ren looking to kill the past while also tugging at the heartstrings of Star Wars fans the world over with shots apparently teasing the end of the late Carrie Fisher’s General Leia.

Last but not least, the final few seconds hint at a very drastic and dramatic character change for Rey.

We also get snippets of a battle between Finn and Captain Phasma, as well as Chewbacca and a Porg – this year’s license to print merchandise money for Disney.

Ahead of the trailer’s release, Disney also put out a new theatrical poster for the film;

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be directed by Rian Johnson, and star Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels and Andy Serkis.

It is due for release on December 14.
