Smackdown Announcer Departs: Replacement Named

John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield has announced that he will step down from his commentary role on Smackdown Live, with immediate effect.

The former WWE champion revealed that he is to take on a new role as a Global Ambassador for Beyond Sport.

WWE have since announced that Raw commentator Corey Graves will join the Smackdown team, in addition to his role on Monday nights. NXT announcer Nigel McGuiness will take over Graves’ duties on 205 Live and Main Event.

Layfield returned to WWE to become a full-time commentator in 2012.
