Speculation regarding the next iPhone has been constant for the large majority of 2017 and as we come to the end of August, Apple has finally confirmed their next big event, in just two weeks time. Apple has sent out invites for the September 12th event, where the company is expected to reveal the next generation of iPhone, as well as updates for Apple TV, Watch, and a new iOS version.
It’s been a decade since Apple first released the iPhone, the beginning of a global domination which still exists today and with September being the traditional time of year for such an event, the company is likely to finally unveiled the fabled iPhone 8. Three new iPhones are expected at the event; a next-generation iPhone 8 model with an edge-to-edge OLED display and a new 3D face-scanning camera, as well as updated versions of the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with wireless charging.
The final version of iOS 11 is also expected to be announced with a released date shortly after the event. The new software was first announced back in June, with releases rolling out to external developers over the months since.
Apple is hosting the event for the in the Steve Jobs Theater on its new Apple Park campus in Cupertino for the first time on September 12th and you can expect the annual influx of Apple related excitement and news to follow.
