With Marvel Studios still determined to keep that Avengers: Infinity War trailer under wraps (maybe until November’s Thor: Ragnarok?), fans are desperate to see something – anything – from a movie ten years in the making.
So for now they, and all of us not lucky enough to be at D23 or Comic-Con, will have to make do with a new poster for the movie which highlights the scale, not to mention the cast list, for the movie. Originally released in three sections at Comic-Con, the full image has now been unveiled, and it is quite the sight.
Starring Thanos front and centre, the poster shows the main cast, including the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, with Iron Man and Captain America (complete with bad-ass beard and gear very similar to that seen in The Winter Soldier) the focal points. Other things to note are Black Widow with new blonde hair, what appears to be a teenage Groot readying for battle, and Spider-Man wearing what looks like, or very similar to, the Iron Spider-like suit was offered at the conclusion of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Captain Marvel, heavily rumoured for the movie, is not shown, however given that we don’t know anything yet about her role, or the size of it, it’s not a huge surprise to see her omitted here.
Avengers: Infinity War stars, among many others, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Josh Brolin, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Chadwick Boseman, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner, Sebastian Stan, Pom Klementieff and Don Cheadle.
Infinity War will be released on 27 April 2018 in the UK, and May 4 in the US.
