San Diego Comic-Con 2017: The Flash Movie to Feature ‘Flashpoint’ Story

DC Comics’ big-screen version of The Flash looks set to take on one of the character’s biggest stories.

During the Warner Bros’ Comic-Con panel, a graphic flashed up on screen showing the Flash movie logo morphing into ‘Flashpoint’. It is believed that Flashpoint will eventually become the film’s official title.

For those uninitiated, the Flashpoint story – first published in the comics in 2011 – saw Barry Allen go back in time to save his mother, however upon his return to present time, he finds the world is very different from when he left. For example, Superman is being held by the US government and Cyborg is the main hero. Furthermore, Bruce Wayne is killed instead of his father, with Thomas Wayne becoming Batman.

Yes, that means we could be getting The Walking Dead‘s Negan as Batman.

Flashpoint, or whatever it ends up being called, is currently without a director. Ezra Miller will star.
