EA Sports has released a teaser trailer for FIFA 18.
Featuring this year’s cover star Cristiano Ronaldo, the clip doesn’t appear to show any actual in-game footage, only showing off game engine footage of the player.
The major change this year comes with the removal of the Legends feature, to be replaced by Icons. EA say that Icons will be available across all platforms, with the first Icon being Brazilian legend Ronaldo.
EA also advise that “not all features available on all platforms”, and the small print at the end of the trailer confirms that the Nintendo Switch version of the game will not feature the Journey: Hunter Returns story, nor run on the Frostbite engine.
FIFA 18 will be available on 29 September 2017, on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS3 and Xbox 360. EA Access and Origin Access members can get 10 hours free play time beginning 21 September.
Additionally, those who purchase one of the special editions of the game – there is an Icon edition and a Ronaldo edition – will get three-day-early access, letting them play the game from 26 September.
