Rumours Confirmed as Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is Revealed

“The world of men is ending…”

Just in case you missed it over the weekend, a sequel to 2014’s Shadow of Mordor had accidentally been revealed thanks to an overzealous shopping website. Well now it seems that we have the official confirmation from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment as Middle-earth: Shadow of War has officially been announced.

Following the return of Talion & Celebrimbor, this new adventure sees the two go beyond the Black Hand’s forces and straight to the Dark Lord himself. According to the game’s announcement trailer, Talion now wields a new Ring of Power in an attempt to take down Sauron, his Orc Army and the Nazgul… even Balrog puts in an appearance.

We loved Shadow of Mordor so much (partly in thanks to the game’s Nemesis System), that we gave it top marks with a score of 10. Let’s hope that this sequel live up to its predecessor.

Releasing on the 25th August, Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be made available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Project Scorpio and PC (Windows 10 & Steam)
