Live-Action Lion King Casts Simba and Mufasa

Donald Glover and James Earl Jones have signed on for roles in the remake of The Lion King.

Back in September, Walt Disney confirmed the “reimagining” of the classic tale, with The Jungle Book director Jon Favreau the helm. And now Favreau himself has confirmed the first two pieces of casting via his Twitter;

Jones will actually be reprising his role from the 1994 classic, while Glover adds another major feature to an already-burgeoning CV that of course includes the role of Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars Anthology Han Solo spinoff movie.
