Marvel, Square Enix Announce Multi-Game Partnership

Marvel Entertainment and Square Enix have agreed a multi-year deal which will see a series of video games based on the comic book superheroes.

Up first will be “The Avengers Project“, a short teaser for which was released alongside the announcement. It shows several hallmarks of the Avengers, including Thor’s famed Mjolnir and Captain America’s shield

Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal will be heading up the development.

Marvel said in the announcement;

“The Avengers project is being designed for gamers worldwide and will be packed with all the characters, environments, and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise. Featuring a completely original story, it will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come.”

Marvel also revealed that more information on The Avengers project and other games will be forthcoming in 2018.
