John Hurt Passes Away

British Actor Sir John Hurt CBE has passed away at the age of 77. It has not yet been announced whether or not his death is linked to past health issues.

A legendary actor with a career spanning more than six decades, Hurt’s notable roles included; The Elephant Man‘s John Merrick, Ailen‘s Kane, V for Vendetta‘s Adam Sutler, the Harry Potter series’ Mr Ollivander and The War Doctor from Doctor Who‘s 50th-anniversary special.

On 16th June 2015, Hurt publicly announced that he had been diagnosed with early-stage pancreatic cancer and worked during his treatment before entering remission on 12th October 2015.
