Deadpool Characters Returning for Sequel

The writers of Deadpool have revealed that the sequel will see our anti-hero once again joined by characters from the first outing.

During an interview with Collider, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have confirmed that Stefan Kapicic and Brianna Hildebrand will be returning as Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, respectively.

In addition, Wernick told Nerdist that Karan Soni’s taxi driver Dopinder will also return, saying;

“I would say that the relationship between Dopinder and Deadpool was the most fun for me. I love that relationship and I love that character. And he’ll be in the sequel.”

The first film’s director Tim Miller has departed the production, with David Leitch stepping in. The sequel will see Cable and Domino added to the existing cast, which is also likely to include Deadpool’s girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) and best friend Weasel, played by TJ Miller.

Deadpool 2 is eyeing a 2 March 2018 release.
