New ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Images Reveal Key Characters

Disney’s obsession with recreating all of their classic animated movies in live-action continues next year with the release of Beauty and the Beast. Following on from the success of The Jungle Book this year, it is safe to say that this will be the most anticipated of all the live-action recreations up to now given the overwhelming popularity of the original movie.

We have already had a teaser trailer and a couple of images of Emma Watson as Belle, but now we finally get to see the Beast in all his glory for the first time thanks to Disney and Entertainment Weekly. The images also feature a number of the other well-known key characters which any fan of the original animated movie will recognise, including Gaston, Cogsworth and Lumiere.

Following Disney’s standard animation template, the original movie is a mixture of fairy tale and musical. It is unknown yet how much of the music element will feature in the new movie, but given the teaser trailer features the signature theme from the classic, we can definitely expect something.

Starring Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast and Luke Evans as Gaston, Beauty and the Beast is expected out on March 17, 2017.

Please be our guest, and let us know what you think of the new images? More excited than ever? Or deeply underwhelmed?
