Movie Director Uwe Boll Announces Retirement

Uwe Boll, the controversial director has announced his retirement from filmmaking.

According to a news report in the Metro, the German director made his announcement during his marketing for Rampage: President Down. Saying his politically-minded films just aren’t making an impact and that his third Rampage movie will be this final.

Better known for his poorly received of video game to movie adaptations (such as Postal, House of the Dead and the BloodRayne trilogy), Boll last caught significant media attention following a self-posted video on YouTube, targeting those who did not fund his film; Rampage 3 on Kickstarter to  go and “f**k yourself.” Outside of his movie career, Boll has also been known to challenge his more negative critics to Boxing matches (which he would often win).

Rampage: President Down will be that last film in Uwe Boll’s Rampage trilogy that began in 2009, and is due to release sometime this year.
