Assassin’s Creed Trailer 2 Released

The second trailer for upcoming video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed has been released offering a wealth of new footage for fans to admire.

With video game movies having a less than successful history, could we finally be getting a blockbuster worthy of its source material? If there was every a perfect franchise to make the jump to the big screen it’s Assassin’s creed and fans will certainly be getting a little excited with the new trailer is certainly promising as much.

The movie will be facing some huge competition at the box office, releasing only a couple of weeks after the latest Star Wars movie, Rogue One. So can Michael Fassbender deliver the goods?

Following the same template as the first trailer, this new tease splits the runtime evenly between the contemporary and the past as we see Fassbender’s character first enter the newly designed Animus, it looks more like something out of Portal than the Creed games, but certainly offers a little more realism for the big screen adventure.

We can ground assassinations, air assassinations, smoke bombs, double assassinations and the leap of faith, how much more Assassin’s Creed could you ask for.

Assassin’s Creed sees Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain through a revolutionary technology which unlocks his genetic memories. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

Set to release on New Years Day 2017, the movie co-stars Marion Cotillard, Michael K Williams, Ariane Labed, Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson.
