Super Mario Maker coming to 3DS

0During Nintendos latest Direct, the company announced that Super Mario Maker would be coming to Nintendo 3DS.

Titled Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, the game will have 100 courses built by Nintendo to play through. As like the Wii U version, players will be able to create new levels for players to try. Players will be able to share these levels through local wireless and street pass, though the can’t be uploaded online. Players will also be able to share unfinished courses with other 3DS users through local wireless, allowing players to collaborate with each other while making levels.

Most of the levels made in Super Mario Make for Wii U can be played on the 3DS, but 3DS players cannot search for levels by using course ID. Instead, 3DS players can play Wii U levels through the recommended list, and the 100 Mario challenge.

The 3DS version can use every item from Super Mario Maker for Wii U. The only exception is the mystery mushroom and the Mario costumes that come with them.

Super Mario Maker for 3DS will be released on December 2nd, 2016.
