LEGO Teases New Rogue One Sets

LEGO has taken to social media to give brick fans a taste of their new Star Wars sets coming out later this month. The sets based on the upcoming movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will be among a number of Star Wars toys expected to release as part of this years #ForceFriday event. Though no details have been officially confirmed the toy company has released a couple of images featuring two of the new sets.

As you can see, both feature new ships, supposedly based on designs from the upcoming movie, one looking very much an Empire set and the other themed around the Rebellion.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is the first of three spin-off movies set within the Star Wars universe. The film is set during the time period between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and tells the story of how the rebellion came across the plans to the Death Star. A recent trailer has also given fans their first look at a certain Sith Lord who will be making an appearance for the first time since that infamous “NOOOOOOOO!” in Episode III.

More information on these new LEGO sets will likely surface over the coming weeks. This year’s #ForceFriday event is reportedly taking place on September 30th.
