Love Is In The Air in Legion’s New ‘Switch’ Promo

From what we’ve already seen, upcoming X-Men spinoff series Legion looks a little stranger than most Marvel entries, and if the series’ newest promo trailer is anything to go by, there looks to be plenty more comic weirdness in store between now and next year.

Titled ‘Switch’, the new trailer glimpses a love-bitten David Haller (Dan Stevens) as he recalls a groundbreaking encounter with an unnamed “girl”. While the video is barely twenty seconds long, Haller does mention that his kiss with Rachel Keller’s character allowed him to ‘take her place’, and her his. The narration overlays Keller’s character then checking herself disbelievingly in a mirror, suggesting that a body-switching ability may be introduced at some point during the series. Given the trailer’s title, it certainly seems plausible.

FX’s original upload isn’t available to those in the UK, but luckily JoBlo TV Trailers has posted a viewable copy, which you can watch above.

The spin-off was announced back in July, during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The new FX series follows David Haller, a troubled young man with a diagnosis of schizophrenia, and possible mutant powers. An encounter with a fellow patient soon calls his hallucinations into question, however, and suddenly David is forced to confront the possibility that his experiences might actually be real.

Legion is set to premiere on FX in early 2017, starring Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza, Rachel Keller and Jean Smart.
