New Rogue One Vehicle Playsets Announced by Hasbro

While Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is still three months away, fans might find their excitement quashed by Hasbro’s newly-announced vehicle playsets. At least a little, anyway. Maybe.

Those on the hunt for some RC goodness may find their Star Wars hopes confirmed furthermore, in a new Rapid Fire AT-ACT playset. Fans will be able to take on the Alliance with a controllable AT-ACT vehicle, which can move its head and walk into battle by way of a smart-device. The vehicle also features an “armoured cargo and cockpit” to transport multiple figures, as well as a rapid-fire NERF cannon to blast the opposition. According to the press release, you’ll need 4 1.5vD batteries (not included) to get it up and running. You can see the set in action in the image below (thanks to Jedi Insider).

Rogue One AT-ACT F

The playset will be priced at $299.99, and comes with a 3.75-inch Jyn Erso figure, as well as exclusive C2-B5 and Imperial AT-ACT Driver figures.

The Empire aren’t the only ones getting vehicles, however. A 3.75-inch Rebel U-Wing is also on the way, accompanied by pilot Cassian Andor to take on the Imperial Military. Fitted out with NERF-dart cannons, the Fighter features wings that can be adjusted to suit the ship’s battle or flight mode. You’ll be able to pick it up for $49.99.

If the U-Wing isn’t quite your style, however, a 3.75-inch TIE Striker was additionally announced by the company, also presenting a NERF-firing cannon. The vehicle will also come with 2 NERF darts to supplement your intergalactic tirades, as well as a plucky Imperial pilot figure to plunge into battle. The TIE Striker will be available for $39.99.

As reported in a press release (via. Action Figure Insider), fans will be able to pick up the new sets at major retailers, or purchase them online via Hasbro’s official shop.
