The Rogue One hype is strong, and though the anthology movie won’t be hitting cinemas till December, Hasbro has just revealed its new wave of figures and playsets to staunch the winter excitement.
First up is an Imperial Stormtrooper InteraTech figure, who reacts to the player’s movements with over 65 light and sound effects. Standing 12-inches tall, the Imperial soldier features an assortment of phrases and sounds, as well as an attachable jetpack to unlock further effects as he clashes with his Rebel foes. He’ll even cry out mournfully as he falls to his Imperial defeat. He’ll need 2 AA batteries to work.
An all-new 12-inch figure range is also on the way, set to include an assortment of heroes and villains from the upcoming film. While the new line features protagonist Jyn Erso and Captain Cassian Andor, straddlers of the dark side will be able to protect the Death Star with an Imperial Death Trooper and Darth Vader himself. Featuring five points of articulation, each figure comes with its own unique accessory to aid them on their intergalactic travels. More characters will also be included, but have yet to be announced.
Finally, some further additions to Hasbro’s esteemed collectible Black Series were recently announced. As well as the Jyn Erso figure revealed during this year’s Star Wars Celebration, some new images confirm that Cassian Andor and K-2S0 will also receive their own 6-inch figures, as well as Director Krennic, Imperial Death Trooper, Scarif Stormtrooper Squad Leader and more.
As reported by Action Figure Insider, Hasbro’s official press release states that the new products will be available at major retailers at the end of this month, as well as through Hasbro’s official shop, which you can find here.
