Newest Pokemon Go Glitch Changes Pokemon After They’re Caught

Pokemon Go is having a rough few weeks. The game is littered with bugs, it still hasn’t been released in all territories, and Niantic’s attempts at fixing the game have angered a lot of fans. Now, a new glitch has popped up that can be both positive and negative.

Players have been reporting that their Pokemon have been changing after they have been caught. A video was posted on the Pokemon Go Reddit showing off the glitch and it shows the player capturing a Poliwag, which then turns into a Ratttata after being caught.

It seems the glitch is random when it comes to changing Pokemon; one Redditor posted they had their Weedle change into an Electabuzz, while another saw their Grimer change into a Shellder.

The other way of looking at this latest glitch is that it can allow players to catch rare Pokemon they can’t find in their area. Plus, there is speculation that this glitch will allow players to catch Pokemon that haven’t been released.

Pokemon Go has been plagued by glitches since its release; at the moment, the tracking of Pokemon does not work, which was known as the three-step glitch, and players have had their accounts wiped due to the latest update.

Niantic has said they are working to re-implement the tracking feature to the game.

Aspiring writer, that is trying to get into video game journalism. Very enthusiastic about gaming and fond of anything that is nerdy.
