New Rogue One Trailer Coming Later Tonight

Following the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympics last week, tonight’s athletic feats will be joined by an all-new trailer for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. 

We’ve seen glimpses of the trailer already, in a selection of tantalising preview shared by Disney and NBC across the course of the event. You can watch the preview below (via. Deadline).

According to the Star Wars website, the trailer is expected later tonight, and will be shown during NBC’s coverage of the evening’s events.

Tonight’s Olympic lineup sees the all-around final for the Women’s Gymnastics, as well as individual finals for the Women’s Archery. The Men’s Swimming is also expected later on, with silver medalist James Guy slated for the 100m Butterfly.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits cinemas on December 16, starring Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen, Diego Luna, Alan Tudyk and Mads Mikkelsen. A trailer was released back in April, and has since been confirmed to include the formidable Darth Vader.

In other Rogue One news, a Jyn Erso figure was recently announced to be joining Hasbro’s collectible Black Series line, during the London Star Wars Celebration on July 15.
