Guardians Vol. 2 News: New Concept Art, James Gunn Reveals Details

Some new concept art from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has been shown off.

Coming exclusively from Empire Magazine, the image shows our heroes fighting a beastly-looking monster that appears to have more than enough appendages to battle the Guardians.

The identity of the monster in question has now been revealed by director James Gunn, who also gave some other information during a Facebook Q&A. Information such as;

*The monster is “an Abilisk, a multi-dimensional being, and the Guardians have been hired to fight him”.

*The movie takes place just two months after the first one, meaning that – assuming what we watch on the big-screen is in real-time – events in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War and the upcoming Doctor Strange all took place after what we will see in Guardians Vol. 2.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens on 5 May 2017.
