Eva Marie has released a statement concerning her suspension from WWE.
Marie was suspended on Thursday following a violation of the Wellness Policy, and TMZ Sports are reporting that came when a test found evidence of Adderall. Under the terms of the Policy, all WWE competitors are obliged to disclose all medication to the company for approval, and it appears that while Marie may have had a prescription for the substance, she did not provide it to WWE.
She told the website;
“I am disappointed that this suspension has occurred, yet understand and respect that WWE upholds their Wellness Policy to the letter and won’t compromise on its integrity. I violated policy by not turning in portions of required paperwork in the time frame WWE Medical deemed timely. I look forward to my return!”
Her suspension was effective August 18, meaning she will miss tomorrow’s SummerSlam show.
