New Doctor Strange Images Revealed

Some new images of the upcoming Doctor Strange were recently shared by Marvel, offering fans a closer look at Strange’s magical abilities, as well as his relationship with The Ancient One.

The first image (via. Marvel) shows Stephen Strange sitting opposite his spiritual tutor, as he prepares to take on his new role as the mystical sorcerer. The Ancient One will be played by Tilda Swinton, known for her previous work on Hail Caesar! and Trainwreck.

The effects of the magician’s spiritual training appear to surface in the second image, featuring the protagonist casting a powerful emblem against an unknown opponent. We’ll have to wait until October to see who he’s casting against, however.

After suffering a traumatic road accident, neurosurgeon Stephen Strange unearths a mystical world of alternate realities, forcing the talented Doctor to embrace the supernatural to protect the known universe. A new trailer was shared during this year’s Comic-Con, showing more of The Ancient One and her formidable adversary, Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen).

Doctor Strange hits cinemas on October 28 in the UK and November 4 in the US. Australian audiences, however, will get in on the action a little earlier on October 27.
