Dark Souls 3 DLC Ashes of Ariandel Trailer Released

The first batch of Dark Souls 3 DLC will release on October 25, it was announced by Bandai Namco.

Titled Ashes of Ariandel, the add-on will see players venture into the frozen wastes of Ariandel, to uncover the dark secret behind the land’s downfall (via. GameSpot). A trailer was released today by Bandai Namco, which is available to watch above.

As with its soul-crushing predecessors, the DLC just wouldn’t be the same without some terrible new beasts to fight. As such, Ashes of Ariandel looks to include a variety of hulking foes to test your mettle – and, more than likely, your patience. Baddies include a lightning-wielding knight who envelops you with mist, and an incredibly angry skeleton-fellow who douses you with molten iron.

“Players will find themselves steeped in a brand new environment filled with terrifying new enemies, challenges, and exciting lore to expand the overarching Dark Souls 3 storyline,” Bandai Namco said (via. GameSpot).

In addition to new monsters and towering new bosses, Ashes of Ariandel will include new weapons, armour sets and magic spells to supplement your frozen adventures. The DLC will also include new features for the game’s PvP mode, according to Eurogamer.

The DLC will release for $15 across PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 25 2016. According to GameSpot, a second expansion is expected to launch early next year.
