New Pokémon Sun and Moon Trailer Reveals New Z-Moves

Some new footage for the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Moon was shared today, showing off a handful of the new pocket monsters and features making it to the 3DS game this November.

First up is Gumshoos; the evolved form of mongoose Pokémon Yungoos. Some new versions of classic Pokémon were also revealed, including ice forms for Vulpix and Ninetails, as well as Sandshrew and Sandslash.

Exeggutor also appeared in the trailer, flaunting a powerful new Z-Move that can be used once per battle. Each Pokémon type carries a unique Z-Move, which must be equipped by wearing the matching Z-Crystal. Toy company Tomy will be bringing out real-life versions of the Z-Crystals alongside the game, which’ll flash the corresponding colour as Crystals are equipped in the game.

Whilst the Pokémon games are no stranger to trainer brawls, players will be tested in Pokémon Sun and Moon by trial captains, who’ll nudge you into hearty battles, fetch-quests and various quizzes. According to the trailer, each trial ends in a face-off against hefty Totem Pokémon, who can call in their very own backup.

A bunch of other features were also revealed in the video. Amongst a slew of additional Pokémon, players will have the ability to ride uncaptured Pokémon when travelling fresh areas. You can see the new features in action in the trailer above.

Pokémon Sun and Moon releases for the 3DS on November 18 2016, with the Z-Crystal toys launching alongside the game. For more information, you can check out the official Pokémon website here, or follow The Pokémon Company on Twitter.
