Loved that Game of Thrones season six finale? Can’t wait until next April to see what happens with [SPOILER] or whether [SPOILER] will get the [SPOILER] in the [SPOILER]?
Well, you may be waiting a while longer, as it appears the much-anticipated seventh series will be coming to us a little bit later.
Speaking on the UFC Unfiltered podcast, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss revealed that the new season will likely have a later launch date.
“We don’t have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a little bit later. We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘Winter is here’ – and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”
The seventh season is reported to only contain seven episodes, as opposed to the usual ten.
