Three More Amiibo Confirmed for Monster Hunter Stories

Three more Amiibo figures are headed to Monster Hunter Stories, it was recently announced by Capcom.

As with the original figures previously revealed by the developer, these Amiibo figures will feature characters from the upcoming spin-off RPG, valiantly astride their fearsome, monsterly mounts. Included in the second Amiibo wave will be the following characters (via. Perfectly Nintendo):

  • Cheval riding a Rathian
  • Ayuria riding a Glacier Barioth
  • Dan riding a Qurupeco

Each Amiibo also features removable characters, allowing players to mix and match riders with different monsters. Each figure will be priced at 1,800 Yen including tax, which is around £14.

The first wave of Amiibo for Monster Hunter Stories was announced by Capcom back in May, and was confirmed to be releasing alongside the game in Japan on October 8 2016. The second wave of figures will hit stores a little later on December 8 2016. Some new screenshots and art from the game have also been released, as shared on Perfectly Nintendo.

It’s currently unknown whether or not the game will see a western release, but given the upcoming release of previous Japan-exclusive Monster Hunter Generationsit’s always a possibility.
