Supergirl Season 2 to Feature Superman

Superman will appear in the second season of Supergirl.

So far only glimpsed covered by bright light, or from far away, or with a peak of a red boot or cape, Supergirl’s more-famous cousin is going to show his face proper when the show returns.

Casting is underway for an actor to portray Clark Kent and his alter-ego in the season’s first two episodes. It is also believed that he will appear sporadically throughout the season.

Previously, the decision was taken to not show the Man of Steel on the show, with the popular thought being that it would overshadow the show’s star. Additionally, it was understood that Warner Bros. and/or DC Comics did not want Superman to be on the small screen as well as the big screen (what with Dawn of Justice coming up, and all).¬†However, it appears that a change of heart has taken place and we will now see Kara Danvers’ cousin fly in from Metropolis.
