“A game of aerospace industry and interplanetary exploration.”
Technological advancement can be a wonderful thing. Thanks to the recent ventures of Exo Dynamics, interstellar flights have been opened up to citizens of the Earth, offering the world’s hardy adventurers the chance of a lifetime: to launch themselves into the unknown rifts of the galaxy, and discover what lies in wait. Say hello to The Astroneers.
System Era Softworks’ Astroneer is an upcoming action-adventure title, incorporating sandbox creation with exploratory elements. As a newly-initiated Astroneer, players are plunged into stylised worlds that can be molded, shaped and deformed with putty-like ease. Players can delve deep beneath the earth or create vaulting mountains, in addition to collecting resources and crafting vehicles to further their intergalactic adventures.
Astroneer supports both online and local multiplayer, allowing you to uncover the outer dimension alongside a trusty comrade, surviving increasingly unforgiving and intriguing realms. You can see the official trailer for the game below.
System Era Softworks is a Seattle-based company, comprising a team with previous experience on the Halo and Assassin’s Creed games, as well as Team Fortress and The Sims. Astroneers is scheduled for release in 2016 for PC, Max and Linux, via Steam Early Access. For more information, you can check out the game’s official website, or visit its Steam page.
