Funko Reveals New Suicide Squad Line

According to a recent report (via. ComicBook), some new figures from Funko’s ubiquitous POP! series have been revealed, showing off characters from David Ayer’s upcoming supervillain movie Suicide Squad – in decidedly…cuter form.

The new Suicide Squad line includes killer marksman Deadshot, pyromaniac El Diablo, the ominously scaled Killer Croc, swordplaying assassin Katana and the crew’s frontrunner Rick Flag.

Also gracing the POP! Vinyl roster is Boomerang, in addition to the delightfully addled partners in crime, Harley Quinn and The Joker. The Funko figures also seem a little more detailed than previous POP! creations; note the subtle red and blue blush either side of Harley Quinn’s eyes in the pictures below, for example.

In addition to the vinyl figures, Funko are releasing four new Dorbz, to include Joker, Harley and Deadshot. The Dorbz will become available in July, whilst a selection of Suicide Squad Mopeez will also be released in the same month. Mopeez fans will be able to get their hands on plush versions of the villainous vanguard including Joker, Deadshot, Katana and Harley.

It seems that Funko’s Idolz and Vixens fans have not been left out, either, with a Joker Idolz figure hitting retailers this July, and a Harley Vixens figure will arrive a little later in August. Both characters will also be available as a keychain, which are reported to be shipping in August.

If you’ve still a hankering for more Funko fare, the company also announced a new set of Mystery Minis will be shipping in August, featuring all the characters from Ayer’s upcoming film.

Suicide Squad releases in cinemas on August 5 2016, starring Margo Robbie, Jared Leto, Will Smith, Cara Delevigne, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Ben Affleck.

As for the Suicide Squad POP! Vinyls, it seems an official release date has yet to be confirmed. As the film is scheduled to hit theatres in August, however, it might be expected that the figures will arrive either sometime around then.
