Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is responsible for bringing a number of comic book characters to life on the small screen, but not all of the characters from the show have made it into print yet, including a certain former agent who has been in the show since its inception. That, however, is set to change very soon.
Grant Ward, played by Brent Dalton on the show, is set to make his Marvel Comics debut in the ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ comic book, appearing alongside his former CO and current MCU S.H.I.E.L.D. director, Phil Coulson.
Ward has been a regular on the show since it began, first as a member of Coulson’s team, before the tie-in with Captain America: The Winter Soldier revealed him to be a Hydra agent during the second half of the first season. He has since appeared regularly as one of the show’s main antagonists.
How closely the comic version of the character will follow his TV counterpart is unknown yet, but it is unlikely that more recent events from the show will make an appearance in the comics.
