Respawn Entertainment, the developer behind Titanfall, are making a Star Wars game.
Earlier today, Respawn announced on their website that they will be making a new Star Wars third-party game in a partnership with EA and Lucasfilm. Stig Asmussen, game director at Respawn and former God of War director, posted;
Fans should expect the exemplary level of quality first established at Respawn with Titanfall, a game that epitomizes our studio’s dedication to slick, larger-than-life action and fun, groundbreaking mechanics.
He also mentions that they “promise to pay respect to the Star Wars legacy” and that they couldn’t ask for a better universe to work with.
Respawn is not the only developer making Star Wars games for EA. Last year, DICE released Star Wars Battlefront on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and Visceral Games – boasting the talents of Amy Henning as creative director, as well as Todd Stashwick as a writer – are also currently working on a Star Wars game.
