Terraria Finally Hitting Wii U

It’s been a long time coming, but the Wii U version of Relogic’s 2D adventure sandbox game, Terraria now has a release date. The game will launch in Europe on June 24, releasing in North America on June 28.

It’s been over a year since Relogic first confirmed that Wii U and 3DS ports of the game were in progress (via. Polygon), with the 3DS version having launched last December.

The Wii U version will support split-screen multiplayer for four players, and an online mode for up to eight. Players will also be able to interact with the game world through direct use of the Wii U GamePad.

Terraria saw its initial release on PC back in May 2011, and has since appeared on a range of mobile, handheld and console platforms.
