Space Jam Sequel is Happening

The long-rumoured Space Jam 2 appears to have finally become confirmed – and could also have a director.

Fast & Furious 6 and Star Trek Beyond helmer Justin Lin is on board to write the LeBron James-starring sequel, along with Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello, says The Hollywood Reporter. They also state that Lin is interested in directing, and is looking to be “thoroughly involved” in the creative development.

The original made $230.4 million worldwide, featured Michael Jordan teaming with Looney Tunes characters for a game of basketball with a group of aliens.
