Nintendo have announced that Minecraft for Wii U will be getting a free Mario mash-up back.
Officially announced on their official website, Nintendo will be pairing up with Mojang and Microsoft to “bring the imaginative worlds of the Super Mario series and Minecraft together”.
The Mash-Up pack, which is showed off in the trailer above, will include over 40 new skins for players to try out. These will include Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and many more characters from the Mario series. The pack will also include a pre-made Super Mario-themed world. In the trailer, Nintendo showed multiple statues of Mario characters, as well as Peach’s castle from Super Mario 64.
All the content introduced with the Mash-Up pack will be based off the Super Mario series, including Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, and Super Mario Sunshine. The Mario Mash-Up pack will be released on May 17 and will be free to download.
The pack will also be included on the physical release of Minecraft for Wii U, which is released on June 17.
