Michael B. Jordan has joined the cast of Black Panther.
The Hollywood Reporter are reporting that Jordan will reunite with Creed director Ryan Coogler on the Marvel superhero movie, which will see Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa/Panther serving as the King and protector of Wakanda, following his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War.
Marvel have yet to officially comment on the report, which states that Jordan may be coming on board for the lead villain role. Looking at the comic history of Black Panther, the favourites for Jordan’s character are either Erik Killmonger or M’Baku, otherwise known as Man-Ape.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Lupita Nyong’o is in negotiations to star alongside Boseman.
Black Panther is due to be released on 16 February 2018.
