Michael Keaton Back in Frame for Spider-Man Reboot

Michael Keaton is in final negotiations for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The Batman actor was originally in the studio’s sights to play the lead villain role in the Spidey reboot, however things didn’t progress past the offer stage. However The Hollywood Reporter are now claiming that after looking at other actors for the role, Marvel have come back to their original choice.

Tom Holland will star as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, following his well-received MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War, with Robert Downey Jr. also appearing as Tony Stark. Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Tony Revolori and Laura Harrier also feature.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is due for release on 7 July 2017.
