E3 2016 to Host Free Public Event

With June now just around the corner, 2016 is proving a promising year for E3 2016. In addition to the possibility of seeing more from Sony’s PlayStation VR, Microsoft executive Phil Spencer has also confirmed that we’ll be hearing more about Xbox One’s anniversary. Now, it has recently been announced that this year’s E3 will host a public event – a first for the annual entertainment expo.

E3 Live (via. NeoGAF) will last three days, spanning June 14-16. The event won’t be taking place at the L.A Convention Centre where the main event is held, however, but will unfold at L.A Live in downtown Los Angeles. Beginning on June 14, E3 Live will include gameplay demos, live entertainment, exclusive merchandise and appearances from “industry personalities”, according to its site.

The event will open its doors at 5PM PDT on Tuesday June 14, and will run from 12PM to 10PM the following Wednesday. On Thursday, the doors will open at 12PM again.

Though the event will be free to attend, you’ll need to register to receive a ticket. According to the site, tickets will give you five hours inside E3 Live. You can register over on E3 Live 2016’s official site.

The main E3 2016 event will kick off on June 14, and will run till June 16.
