A new trailer has debuted for Suicide Squad – and the humour appears to still be in effect.
Following speculation that expensive reshoots have been ordered for the movie to ensure the finished product contains more of the quirky and irreverent humour that the initial trailer had, this new clip looks to be keeping in the same vein.
This time out, we get more explanation as to why Amanda Wallis is looking to bring a band of reprobates together – what if Superman decided to fly down and snatch up the President and there was no-one capable of stopping him? – as well as some more new scenes of the gang in action.
There’s also a little more teasing for Ben Affleck’s drop-in appearance as Batman, tracking down Jared Leto’s Joker.
Reshoots or not, the film is hurtling towards its release and following the reception for Batman v Superman, Warner Bros. will be hoping that this one brings back some of that all-important goodwill.
Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Joel Kinnaman star, and the movie will release on August 5.
