PSN Scheduled for Two-Hour Maintenance This Monday

As of 9:30PM PST on April 18, the Playstation Network will be down for maintenance, Sony has announced. The maintenance period is expected to last two hours, and will be some “improvements” made to the PSN (via. GameSpot).

The maintenance period follows the latest update for the PS4, released earlier this month. You can find out what the update included here.

According to Sony, players that already have PSN account will still be able to sign in to their profile, play games and use most applications during the maintenance. Users won’t be able to access Playstation Video, account management or the Playstation Store, however.

“We apologize for any inconvenience, ” Sony said. “We strive to ensure that PlayStation Network services are available at all times, but occasionally we must take PlayStation Network offline to perform essential maintenance and implement feature enhancements.”

Sony assures that they are “working hard to reduce the duration of each maintenance.”
