Mass Effect Andromeda Footage Leaked?

A demo reel was recently spotted by a user on NeoGAF, showcasing special effects and movement abilities that could be tied to upcoming BioWare game, Mass Effect Andromeda.

Retrieved from a developer said to be currently working on Andromeda, the 50 second reel shows off various elements of what appears to be an early build of the game (via. Kotaku).

In one segment, the player is rendered unconscious by a Krogan wielding a noxious gas spore:

The original video uploaded on NeoGAF has been taken down by EA on grounds of copyright claims, but a mirrored version remains available to watch, but possibly not for long.

Despite these claims, however, this does not necessarily mean the footage is legitimate, or even indicative of how the game looks now. On the forums it was mentioned that the footage showed, “around a late 2014 build. It doesn’t look like this now.” So, even if the footage was attached to Andromeda, the game has likely undergone some dramatic changes since then.

Nevertheless, the footage has already seen some enthusiastic responses, and given that Andromeda is scheduled for release in 2017, any word on the Mass Effect title is enough to stir fan excitement.
