In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war, giant ships blowing each other up, it’s a brutal dystopia where nobody is safe. This is a synopsis for an upcoming Hollywood blockbuster, I’m talking about Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, a 40k RTS based on the classic tabletop game Battlefleet Gothic.
A lot of questionable games set in the 40k universe have been released in the last couple of years, but I can safely say that Tindalos Interactive has done a very good job with their most recent installment in the franchise.
For those less familiar with the game, it currently contains three factions to choose from, the Imperials, Chaos and the Orcs. This, however, is set to change very soon with the announcement that the Eldar will be joining the game. The announcement, posted by the developers states that the new faction will be introduced ahead of the full game release on April 21.
The three factions that are currently in the game all play very differently from one another, and the Eldar will be no exception. Expect lightly armored but incredibly agile ships that will be able to outmaneuver their enemies at every turn.
The game is available for pre-order on Steam for £26.99 and is set for release on April 21.
As an added bonus, pre-ordering the game will give you instant access to the beta as well as the Space Marine Fleet and an additional mystery fleet.
