Marvel has revealed the first official movie poster for their first post-Civil War movie, Doctor Strange. The poster features star Benedict Cumberbatch standing in what appears to be the character’s Sanctum Sanctorum. The company also announced a sneak peek will premiere tonight on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” which airs at 11:35 p.m. ET.
In the movie, neurosurgeon Stephen Strange discovers a world of magic and alternate dimensions after he seeks help for serious injuries sustained in a car crash. Parts of the movie are filmed in 3D and it promises to be a multi-dimensional mystical experience. Ben Davis, the film’s director of photography, has already promised the film would be “Marvel’s ‘Fantasia.'”
Doctor Strange also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo and Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One. The film opens October 28 in the UK and November 4 in the US.
